From Perfectionism to Aliveness

I caught myself this morning falling into a perfectionism mechanism again after hours spent translating my website from French into English.

Perfectionism, control, doing it “the right way,” having everything figured out before acting or sharing your creative gifts... this is something I have been dealing with my whole life. I’m sure I’m not alone. I see you. Raise your hands !

I also know the source of this: A very rigid education where perfectionism was more important than aliveness, where control was more valuable than spontaneity, where being silent in front of the 8 o’clock news took deep preference over a deep and profound noisy & bold laugh.

So it takes courage to be conscious of the unconscious and to say no when you deeply know that something else is possible. My favorite thing to do when I see some pattern pop up in my reality is to ask out loud, “What else is possible?”

Then I listen to the whispers of aliveness... and it can get very crazy, wild, and so creative! Because conscious transformation can also be a source of infinite joy, fun and infinite renewal possibilities to explore.

This means your old patterns will show up for your most exquisite experience... all of them : doubts, control, being right/wrong, unworthyness etc. This will be part of your creation process, to unlock your creative power.

When you are aware of them, they become a powerful creative tool that can guide you exactly where you need to go and offer you the fertile soil for what you feel the inner calling to express in your Art & Business.

Entering into the EXPERIENCE of the Creation Lab is all about a Living Art Process - BEING THE ART, where you are invited to explore, experiment, test, readjust, be both the observer and the creator, and discover how this truly works for you to express, from the inside out who you truly are in your Art, your Business & your Creative Project.

I call these: The Creative Contractions... these are not the enemies to avoid but the lovers to make love with.

It’s time to make love to your creative shadows to shine bright like a diamond !
